Butter Cake

BUTTER CAKE
  • Ingredients
  • Butter - 200 grams
  • Margarine - 80 grams
  • Caster Sugar - 200 grams
  • Plain Flour - 200 grams
  • Milk Powder - 20 grams
  • Egg - 3 Large (200 grams)
  • Ideal Milk - 2 spoons (30 ml)
  • Vanilla - 1 tsp
  • Baking Powder - 1 tsp (5 grams)
  • Method
  • Put the butter, margarine and sugar in the mixer bowl.
  • Mix on speed 1 for about 5 minutes (Electric Mixer)
  • Add in all the flour(sifted), milk powder & baking powder
  • Add vanilla essence
  • Mix for about 2 minutes
  • Add in egg one at a time and continue to mix for about a minute
  • Continue to add in the egg one by one (mix for a minute for each addition)
  • Add in the ideal milk
  • Pour into an 8" round greased baking tin
  • Baked in a pre-heat oven at 160 degrees centigrade
  • Bake for about 50 minutes
  • Insert a satay stick in the center of the cake to check for well done
